Clopay^® Adds Walnut Color to Canyon Ridge^® Collection Garage Door

Clopay is adding a Walnut finish option to its Canyon Ridge Collection faux wood composite garage door line to complement the deep, rich color that is becoming increasingly popular on entry doors, windows and other exterior stained wood products.

The company will continue to offer the Dark and Medium finish colors as well as White. The doors can also be factory-primed for finishing in the field.

The Canyon Ridge Collection is a line of high R-value carriage house style garage doors constructed from a durable, low-maintenance composite polymer material that looks like real wood.

The ½” thick cladding and overlays are attached to a polyurethane insulated three-layer steel base door for added strength and energy efficiency, delivering an impressive 20.4 R-value.

The material is molded from actual wood to replicate the species’ natural texture and intricate grain patterns as well as its imperfections. But unlike wood, it’s moisture resistant, so it won’t rot, split, shrink, separate, or crack. 

Homeowners can choose from three cladding options: Pecky Cypress, Clear Cypress and Mahogany.  Many design options, windows and an expanded line of decorative hardware are available to complement many home styles. 
The door was recently named one of the year’s “Hot 50 Products” by GreenBuilder magazine in its annual list of innovative, high performance, eco-friendly products in the residential building category.
