Clopay Introduces VertiStack^® Avante^® Residential Garage Door

Clopay Corporation, North America’s largest manufacturer and marketer of garage doors and rolling steel doors, is introducing the VertiStack Avante garage door, a modern aluminum and glass residential garage door with sections that stack vertically above the opening to provide a clear, open ceiling space.

The glass panels bring in daylight to fill interior spaces when the door is closed, and expand the residential footprint when it opens. There are variety of glass options to let as much or as little natural light inside, creating a connection to the outdoors through a large wall of windows.

Innovative in function, but also in form, the door’s compact design keeps lines and angles to a minimum and cleverly hides key mechanisms. It has no visible hinges, cable or overhead track for a crisp, clean look.

The stacked sections project minimally off of the wall, so the door doesn’t interfere with ceiling fans, lighting and overhead storage.

The sections can even be recessed into a ceiling soffit so when the door is open, no one will know it’s there.

Previously only available for commercial use, the VertiStack Avante garage door is an ideal choice for residential installation in garages, workshops and barns.  

Customizable to fit openings from 5’ to 18’6” wide and 6’ to 10’ tall, the door is available with tempered clear, frosted, insulated, and Low-E glass as well as acrylic or polycarbonate panels. Aluminum frame colors include clear, black, bronze, and dark bronze anodized finishes, as well as painted white, bronze or chocolate.

The VertiStack® Clear door has been recognized by the architectural community with a 2023 Architecture MasterPrize award and was named the Judges' Pick in Building Design + Construction’s 75 Top Building Products for 2023.
