Clopay Garage Doors Featured on Southern Living 2024 Idea House

Clopay is sponsoring the Southern Living 2024 Idea House in Kiawah River, South Carolina, just outside of Charleston.

Clopay Canyon Ridge^® 5-Layer Carriage House garage doors are part of the grand entrance to the 4,400 square-foot historic farmhouse that embodies the landscape of the Lowcountry, with outdoor living spaces and picturesque water views serving as the backdrop.

This is the fourth Idea House that has featured Canyon Ridge garage doors. The builder selected Design 11 with REC13 windows custom painted Sherwin-Williams^® “Porpoise” to complement the natural color scheme. Clopay Master Authorized Dealer Southeastern Garage Doors managed the installation.

“Canyon Ridge carriage house doors are a popular choice with builders in coastal regions because they are moisture-resistant composite and look like real wood only without the upkeep,” said Justin Evans, Clopay Vice President of Residential Marketing. “These doors were put to the test when Tropical Storm Debby doused the area with historic rainfall days before the home opened for tours. They have built-in reinforcement to withstand hurricane-force winds as well as impact-rated glass, but you wouldn’t know it by their elegant appearance.”

The talented team of Charleston locals who brought the Idea House to life includes builder Dillard-Jones, architect MHK Architecture, interior designer Allison Elebash Interiors, and landscape architect DesignWorks.

The home is also open now for in-person tours. A portion of the ticket sales will benefit local charities. Beginning in November, the Idea House will be decorated for the holidays, with scheduled seasonal activations at the home.
